Project GROWS: Cooking at Home

Welcome to Cooking at Home!Due to COVID-19, Project GROWS has not been able to host any field trips or camps this spring or summer. For our newest project however, we'll be bringing the summer camp to you! On Friday, Project GROWS will be providing students at the Boys and Girls Club with take-home "camp at home kits" filled with everything they will need to make two recipes: Simple Spaghetti and Black Bean and Corn Salsa, along with fresh local bell peppers and onions and a kid-friendly safety knife for slicing up those yummy veggies! Thanks to the Boys and Girls Club, to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank for providing many canned items, Virginia Family Nutrition Program for allowing us to use their amazing recipes, to Poplar Ridge Farms and Seasons Bounty Farm for providing delicious bell peppers and onions, and to the Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge for making this project possible!
