Farmers Markets

Improving Food Access

Project GROWS’ mission is to grow a healthy community by connecting all people to nutritious food. We operate several farmers markets as part of our food access programming. Farmers markets improve food security, individual and family health, and the overall local food economy by connecting local producers to the community and the community to nourishing foods. Our farmers markets prioritize:

Access to Quality Healthy Foods
Local and Sustainable Agriculture
Community Partnerships
Economic Viability
Inclusivity

Our Farmers Markets

Waynesboro Farmers Market

The Waynesboro Farmers Markets takes place May through October (Saturdays, 9am-1pm) at Constitution Park in Waynesboro. The WFM strives to sustain a vibrant and innovative market that supports local farmers while extending the benefits of local food to the greater community.

Project GROWS Farm Stand

This market takes place at Project GROWS every Tuesday from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.
Open from mid-April through October. You can find our vegetables for sale, as well as products from partner producers, including eggs, meat, and cheese.

Mobile Markets

Our GROW Mobile is a farmers market on wheels that is working towards creating a more equitable and sustainable food system that cultivates community well-being through connection to food, farming, and people. Our market prioritizes communities throughout our service area that are experiencing nutrition insecurity and low access to nutrient dense foods.
